· Explorelearning.com: $1995--Mathematics and Science Departments--renewal of subscription included technology-driven interactive gizmos, creative lesson plans, and on-line assessments providing inquiry-based, higher-order thinking simulations for K-12 students.
· Community Technology Grant: $719--SMART Document Camera promotes engagement with interactive lessons to improve retention of science content and enables the teacher to project microscopic images and science experiments in real time onto the SMART Board. Images can be captured and saved into the SMART software.
· Lumen’s Library System: $1,495-- Replaced the outdated system to enable students and parents online access to the Jefferson card catalog from home. A parent can login and see what books their child has checked out. If parent has a certain book in mind for their child to read, they can type in the title and pull up the cover image of the book, thus the child knows exactly which book to look for and check out. It also includes 2,000 subscriptions for e-books.
· United Streaming: $950--Provides United Streaming, a service provided by Discovery Education, access for all classrooms. Students can be transported to famous art galleries, deserts, mountains; anywhere the video can take them.
· Pathways: $500--Pathways is a visual learning of sounds and letters that helps prekindergarten through second grade students, become better spellers as well as readers. This program works with other programs to promote books that the children read to enhance what Pathways is teaching.
· Scholarships: $7,725 awarded to students for 2011-2012
